Description
Del film sono state distribuite sette versioni differenti, in base alle scelte, spesso controverse, dei diversi responsabili. Una versione Director's Cut è stata pubblicata nel 1992 e messa in commercio in DVD nel 1997. Nel 2007, in occasione del 25º anniversario dell'uscita della pellicola, la Warner Bros. ha pubblicato The Final Cut, una versione digitalmente rimasterizzata e l'unica su cui Scott ha avuto totale libertà artistica. Questa edizione è stata proiettata in un ristretto numero di sale e successivamente distribuita in DVD, HD DVD e Blu-ray. Il film ha avuto un sequel nel 2017, Blade Runner 2049, diretto da Denis Villeneuve.
