Description
Rock Star è un film del 2001 diretto da Stephen Herek ed interpretato da Mark Wahlberg e Jennifer Aniston. Racconta la storia di un ragazzo che, da musicista rock amatoriale, viene scelto come cantante e front-man del gruppo musicale di cui è fan da sempre. Ambientato negli anni ottanta, il film descrive inoltre la vita quotidiana di una heavy metal band di successo, fra concerti, droga, alcol e groupie. La band descritta nel film, chiamata Steel Dragon, è immaginaria, sebbene ispirata, come gran parte della vicenda, dal gruppo realmente esistente dei Judas Priest. Il film segna anche l'esordio di George Clooney come produttore.
